Daan Andriessen has recently been appointed as Professor of practice-based research methodology at the HU University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He has worked in the field of practice-based research for 10 years at Inholland University of Applied Sciences. Before that he worked as a management consultant at KPMG. In 2003 he received a Phd at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. His current work focuses on scientific research in the context of professional education. Key questions in his research include: what is the relationship between professional practice and research? How can research and practice enhance each other?
