Daniël Brüggen

Biography

Daniël Brüggen was born in Haarlem, Netherlands. He studied Recorder at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam with Kees Boeke, and graduated in 1983. He has been a member of the Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Recorder Quartet for 30 years. Daniël is currently teaching at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and is a Visiting Professor and Honorary Associate at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Since 2001 he is also active as a filmmaker and director.
