Don Lebler is an Adjunct Professor at the Queensland Conservatorium and was convenor of its Bachelor of Popular Music Program 2002–2008. He has served as Chair of the Queensland Conservatorium Assessment Board and the Queensland Conservatorium Learning and Teaching Committee. He has also served as Deputy Director, Learning and Teaching and Acting Director at the Queensland Conservatorium as well as on a range of committees of Griffith University. His research interests include the ways popular musicians learn and the impact of structured reflective practice on this learning, informal learning in formal learning contexts and the prior learning of music students across a range of higher education cohorts and how this might inform pedagogy. Don is a Creative Director of the Innovative Conservatoire.
