Liz currently works as a Research Fellow at the University of York, where she also teaches piano. From 2006-8 she was part of the ESRC-funded research project Investigating Musical Performance, which produced output in music journals and international conference presentations. Liz’s interest in diverse musical areas led to her book on British musicians: Making Music in Britain: Interviews with those behind the notes (Ashgate 2006). She also works with the tenor John Potter on projects relating to the singer/pianist partnership. Her current research interests include the music master class and instrumental pedagogy.
