Natasha Zielazinski is a performer and composer. As a cellist she works primarily with contemporary repertoire, improvisation and experimental music. Her collaborative work has involved projects with poet Kate Tempest, filmmaker Eelyn Lee and choreographer Hofesh Shechter among others. Natasha has developed large-scale participatory works with the Barbican Centre, the Onassis Foundation, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBCSO. Over the past ten years she has created innovative developmental music projects with the Barbican and other organisations, including flagship project Future Band. Natasha has taught at the Guildhall for 8 years on two innovative degrees - the MMus Leadership and BA Performance and Creative Enterprise degrees. Both have a strong emphasis on arts research practice and socially engaged/participatory art, and the intersection of communication, performance, audience and public interface. Natasha’s teaching practice has particularly focused on arts-based research and collaborative practice.
