Wim Vos (*1957) studied percussion at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. After graduating he continued to study with a.o. Bob Becker (USA), Aly NDiaye Rose (Senegal) and Venancio Mbande (Mozambique). He was a founding member of the Percussion group The Hague, a regular player in ensembles like Asko|Schönberg and Ensemble Modern and for many years a member of the Rotterdam Philharmonic and The Hague Philharmonic Orchestras. In 1990 he founded the group Anumadutchi, a collective of 10 percussionists specializing in African music. The group released two CD's with his compositions.
